Network Engineer

Job Description

• Overall technical support and troubleshooting for 4G, 4G, LTE eNB /NR gNB (RIU-D and RRH) especially in deployment phase

• Design, setup, preparation and configuration support for Mobile lab and Customer lab

• HW installation and integration support including trouble shooting for RIU-D and RRH at Mobile lab and Customer Lab.

• HW installation and integration support including trouble shooting for RIU-D and RRH at field

• HW Acceptance testing at Mobile lab for RIU-D and RRH including specification check

• Procedure creation and verification (HW installation procedure, FRU procedure, Integration procedure, migration procedure for RIU-D and RRH)

• Verification/reproduction testing at Mobile test lab for newly introduced HW and SW

• Answer to technical query from customer

• Escalation and communication with R&D department

• IOT, ATP, and FOA on-site support at customer’s premises and field

Responsibilities

• Maintaining computer networks including mainframes, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware
• Installing and configuring network equipment
• Creating firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected
• Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for all systems
• Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management

Education + Experience

• 3 years+ work experience with Japanese telecom operator on the jobs/tasks mentioned above
• 3 years+ experience on lab construction (design, setup, preparation and configuration) including trouble shooting for LTE/NR product (eNB/gNB)
• 3 years+ experience on HW installation, integration and verification including trouble shooting for LTE/NR product (eNB/gNB)
• 3 years+ experience on procedure creation (HW installation procedure, FRU procedure, Integration procedure, migration procedure for BBU and RRH)
• Knowledge for RAN (LTE/NR) technology including call processing and call flow
• Log analysis capability and experience for performing RCA(root cause analysis)
• Basic knowledge and understanding on 3GPP standard
• 3 years+ work experience with Japanese telecom operator on the jobs/tasks mentioned above
